Senior Software Developer
The Shams Group, LLC seeks Senior Software Developer in Irving, TX. Req: MS in CS, Info Sci, or rel fld + 2 yrs exp as Software Developer. Exp must incl 2 years of experience with MEDITECH EXPANSE EHR system; SQL programming and stored procedures; Tableau Desktop and Microsoft Excel for data visualization; Summit Scripting Toolkit; automation scripting for reporting and workflow optimization; EHR implementation and migration (including Soarian Clinicals); and knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes. Job Duties:
Design, develop, test, and maintain MEDITECH EXPANSE software solutions to meet clinical and business requirements. Collaborate with analysts and end-users to gather and refine system specifications for Physician Order Entry and related modules. Configure and modify Rules, Queries, Orders, and Order Sets for Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Nursing departments. Develop and implement automation scripts to improve reporting, workflow efficiency, and system monitoring. Write and maintain application code and stored procedures to support operational processes. Build and automate reports and dashboards for clinical and business analytics. Create and manage rules-based ordering logic to enhance provider decision-making and ensure compliance with organizational policies. Develop and maintain Physician Order Sets, Interventions, and Instructions within MEDITECH EXPANSE according to established standards. Utilize SQL and stored procedures for data extraction and validation to ensure accuracy and data integrity. Design and develop data visualizations in Tableau and Excel to support clinical and operational decision-making. Support implementation and migration of MEDITECH EXPANSE from legacy systems such as Soarian Clinicals, ensuring data consistency and reliability. Work with Quality Assurance and Implementation teams to monitor data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including Feature Planning Documents. Use the Summit Scripting Toolkit to automate repetitive workflows. Participate in stakeholder and client meetings to provide technical guidance, document requirements, and refine deliverables. Serve as a subject matter expert during implementation, go-live, and optimization phases, providing post-deployment support and system enhancements.
